It’s about that time to get your New Year’s Resolution ready. Let’s be honest, it’s hard to actually keep your resolution all throughout the year. In January, the New Year is here and feeling motivated to reach a goal is easy. New year, new me mentality, you know? However, in April or May the motivation may start to dwindle.
We are here to tell you of ways you can keep your resolution all year. We are big list makers ourselves to make sure we get everything done. I think the first step to accomplishing your goal should be writing it down, sometimes it helps just to get it down on paper. It makes it official and instantly becomes apart of a to-do list! From writing your resolution down, to sharing it with a friend, there are a few ways to ensure you'll keep your promise to yourself from January to December.
Here’s how you can be your confident beautiful self, all year long!
1. Write Down Goals
Like I said earlier, writing down exactly what you want, will help you out. Writing it makes it more tangible, in a way.
2. Tell A Friend
You should always say your goal out loud to a friend. Another way to create a resolution with a best friend. It makes it easier to stick to your resolution when you have someone to hold you accountable. We want to keep a good work out regime together this year, and we find it easier to have a workout buddy!
3. Start The Year Off Right
Start the resolution on a high note. If you want to eat healthier in the new year, start off your first few weeks keeping the promise. Eat more greens and cut out all of the yummy sweets. If you set a presidence for yourself, it will definitely be harder to go back on your word.
4. Set Short Term Goals
Setting short term goals is just a good way to look at the goals in your life, I like to think. If you have a long term goal from yourself like becoming a (insert dream career here), your first step may be to complete college. I think the same way of thinking applies to your new year’s resolution. For example, if you have a target weight to get to by the end of the year, start off by setting little goal weightloss targets for each month. If you lose say 5 pounds by two months, it will help you little by little reach your end goal. It’s also nice to reward yourself along the way, too. Celebrate a little after you meet each short term goal!
