Best Things To Do In Savannah, GA For The Holidays
The holidays brought my family together once again in the great city of Savannah, GA. And let me tell y’all — we never get tired of this city.
The fall and winter months in the south are a nice change of pace. It’s chilly but not a drop of snow in sight, so if you’re looking for warmth this winter, you need to head to Savannah.
Check out a list of places that we couldn’t avoid going to while we were all in town together, and get ready to plan a trip down to Georgia. Because we promise you, you’ll fall in love with this place, just as we did.

If you like sinking into a couch while sipping a cup of quality coffee, then this is the place for you. This location sets up a Christmas tree, has a fireplace and gives off a very homey vibe. Stop in here to sit back, relax and enjoy a break from walking downtown. Pro tip: Order a frozen latte. It’s delish, and always appropriate (no matter the weather — not that it ever gets too cold).
P.S. This café has been a long time favorite of ours. It really reminds us of Central Perk in Friends.

There are a lot of great cafes in Savannah, and Foxy Loxy is one of our top favorites. We love their drinks, but especially their desserts. I mean, they’ve got a vegan brownie that tastes heavenly and the best tres leches cake you’ve ever had. So, seriously, make this place your very first stop.

You’ve got to swing by Green Truck for a big, juicy burger while you’re here. They also have a homemade ketchup, and overall, this is a very unique dining experience. Their food is worth what it costs to fly to Savannah. Trust us.

Butterhead Greens is a great place to grab lunch. It’s located right across from a Savannah College of Art and Design building, so if you’re into great food and people watching, take a pit stop here. We recommend the tomato bisque soup. Seriously, we’ve tried to recreate this, and there’s just no doing it. How do they make tomato soup (of all things!) taste this good?!

This is also a unique dining experience. The restaurant combines South African Swiss, Italian, and Dutch food. At the express location you just walk right up and order. There is an eating space in the back. We always always order Oliver's Lunch. We highly recommend it. Oliver's Lunch has chicken or South African sausage over rice, it comes with salad and bread. Simple and delicious.
6. Beach
Much like Savannah, we never get tired of Tybee Island. It's a quaint little beach town. That is definitely worth a stop. It has a whole lot of southern charm and the ocean. So it sounds pretty perfect to us.

The Collins Quarter is a must-do in Savannah. Everything we have ever ordered there is SO good! It's Australian food. Beyond the yummy food, it has a the best ambience and interior- marble mixed with distressed bricks.
Our favorite time to go is for brunch on the weekends. And if don't to stop for a bite to eat, we also love just going there for a coffee. It is so chic just to order a latte and sip on it, talking for hours! There is also a cute little take out window for luxe coffee to-go.

Where you get a praline is on River Street. River Street is iconic to Savannah! It's one long cobblestone street, where you see the gorgeous view of the river. There are several candy stores along the street. Stop in just about in one and you get a free sample of a praline and get to see some of the candy making magic in progress.
We can't be in Savannah long without getting stopping to get a sugary pecan praline.
9. Shopping on Broughton
Broughton street is the shopping street in Savannah. There is a little something for everyone on this street. Recently there are some major upgrades to this road. For example there is now a: MAC Cosmetics, H & M, Victoria's Secret, and Michael Kors. There are also Urban Outfitters and Free People, there is an Anthropologie about a block away too.
But there are also stores and eating places that are just unique to Savannah. You can go wrong when you can mix your shopping habits up.
On this street for the holidays there is a massive Christmas tree set up. So be ready to be in the holiday spirit!
