The Best Things To Pair With Your Chocolate Wine

Chocolate wine has been something that we loved for quite a while. The past few times we've gone the grocery store, we always hit up the wine aisle to see if we could find this decadent wine. But sadly, we would leave the aisle empty handed. But recently we were able to find it again! Rejoice!

It is such a nice addition to end any evening. Because it's not quite like having a dessert, but it is the next best thing. It seriously taste like alcoholic chocolate milk. That being said, we definitely recommend it!

When it comes to me (Darby) I haven't found a wine I really love yet. But this is the exception. So wine lover or no, you will surely like this! If you enjoy having chocolate- this is the drink for you.

Now what to have with your chocolate wine is the question. It is totally okay to drink it by itself! But we wanted to do a round-up of some chocolate wine pairings for you to try, too. Have fun experimenting!

The Dessert Pairings

1. Cheese & Fruit Platter

This is sort of a classic wine pairing. You really can't go wrong with cheese and fruit!

2. Chocolate Cake

The more chocolate the better has always been a life motto for me.

3. Cheesecake

I wanted to keep the cheesecake recipe we chose simple. Since the chocolate wine is also so sweet and has a strong chocolate flavor. I think these two will pair quite nicely.

4. Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Again chocolate covered strawberries and wine really go hand and hand. You will have quite the romantic set up with this pairing.

5. Berry Tart with Lemon Curd Mascarpone

So many fresh flavors all mixing together! Yummy!

We like to think we know our desserts pretty well, so these our expert opinions of the best chocolate wine combos.
