The Best of New York Fashion Week's Nails

New York Fashion Week is a week the Labels and Lacquer girls worship. We love seeing all of the newest fashion trends, the street styles, the model off-duty looks, and even beauty trends. With the word lacquer being in our blog title we obviously love a good mani/pedi. We decided to pick our favorite New York fashion week nail moments to share. We also included the polishes you would need to have your own fashion nail moment, so, get to painting. Here we go… time for you to recreate all the nail goodness.

Jonathan Simkhai Spring 2016

All the models for the show started with a pale pink pase and had a metallic silver French tip. Need I say more? It’s just so chic and nail perfection. Not to mention there is a black border at the bottom of the nail. I don’t think look would be very hard to recreate. Just pick up a few nail pens at the store and your runway ready!

Allure , $8.50, Essie

Libertine Spring 2016

These nails are so colorful and fun. All the patterns actually work so well together. The red and white checkered pattern mixed with green a orange stripes are so different and fun. We are definitely going to attempt these nails ourselves!

Double Dutch Orange, $18, Beauty.com

Carmen Marc Valvo Spring 2016

These nails are simple and with the touch of 3D elements still make these nails stand out. Buy a nude nail polish and a 3D polish and have the same nails as a model. Try this look with some fun color from Ciate London and actually paint your nails with crushed shells.

Shell Manicure, $25, Ciate London

Philip Lim Spring 2016

These nails are also fairly simple to DIY. Buy a mauve base coat and some metallic nail strips. How chic are these metallic graphic lines. These nails will definitely get you noticed, get ready for an out pour of compliments because of your nail art.

In Stitches, $8.50, Essie

Nail Tape, $2.14, Amazon

Adam Selman 2016

Augusta has actually already tried out these nails, talk about being ahead of the trends. She saw them and fell in love with the little polka dots placed every so often. These are so easy to recreate. To make the circle perfectly round you can put a sewing pin into an eraser (sharp side down) and dip and the rounded edge of the pin into the polish or just use a tiny tipped nail polish brush either works.

NARS Nail Top Coat, $20, Beauty.com

The Labels and Lacquer girls have to get busy planning our nail weekly schedule. We want to have plenty of time to try all of these nail trends out. NYFW may be over, but we have London, Milan, and Paris fashion weeks to look forward to now!
